Gem Tree

A Gem Tree is a space-phenomenon that bears gems instead of fruit. It was first discovered by Thanagarian explorers on a distant planet who brought it back to their home world of Thanagar. Police officers Katar and Shayera Hol once used a Gem Tree to bait renowned thief Byth Rok into a trap. Byth proved to be smarter than the Hawks however and succeeded in robbing the tree of its gemstones right under their noses.
